The image of the young woman is a symbol of human beauty in the West, and a dominant theme in western art.  In photography the term BEAUTY (as it is used here) refers to photographs, predominantly of the face, being presented as FLAWLESS. That being said....depending on the use, the clients wishes and the nature of the person modeling...I tend to actively include facets of the model that are the more of the real person.
